Therapy Visits

Pet therapy has been proven to help speed the recovery of the ill and lower stress levels.  Our club members visit a number of local Nursing Homes and Hospitals hoping to help their guests with pet therapy.  Some of the facilities we support are:

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Christiana Hospital, Mary Cambell Center in Wilmington Delaware,

Naaman’s Creek Nursing Home, Somerford House Assisted Living, Child Guidance Resource Centers of Havertown

Kim Rimel and Oliver (French Bulldog) have been recognized by the Governor of Delaware for their therapy services and have received the 2007 Governor’s Outstanding Volunteer Award.
